A majority of storage units are not going to be overwhelmingly large, so if you’re storing lots of small items, you’re definitely going to want to pack them up tightly in a box and stack them on top of each other.
When it comes to stacking boxes, you want to make sure you’re buying boxes that are similar in size to make stacking easier. Aside from being able to optimize space and increase the ease of stacking, similar box sizes creates a more stable stack — something you’ll be thankful for when you start moving things around.
Must-Have Items In Front
When it comes to how you put items in your storage unit, you want to make sure that you’re putting the must-have items up front. Of course, there’s no way to go without storing large pieces of furniture, but there are some ways that you can minimize the amount of space that furniture is taking up. The best way to do that is by disassembling your furniture so that you can stack it up alongside the wall or in the back. With a few blankets or moving blankets draped over your furniture, you’re able to store your belongings safely while still optimizing the space within your unit.
Sketch a Diagram
