It’s Time Once Again for Spring Cleaning!
We wrote about it last year, and it’s that time of year again, when you go through the house and clean each room from top to bottom. You may not be overly enthused about cleaning the house, but you know that it must be done, and it’s very possible that by the end of it, you’ll feel much better about the state of your home.

Rearranging Furniture
You spent a lot of time inside over the winter months, and you may have moved the couch so that it was in a better spot in the living room, or you may have rearranged the chairs so that the TV was easier to see. Whatever the case may be, you might be thinking about rearranging your living room or family room, and since you’re going to move things in order to dust and vacuum, why not take this opportunity to come up with a new configuration? You might have some new pieces you want to buy, which means your old furniture will need to be stored, at least for the time being.
Get the Kids Involved
Your kids most likely just finished or are in the middle of their spring break, and their thoughts are now focused on the last few weeks of school and the summer vacation that will soon be here. As you’re spring cleaning in the living room or the kitchen, have the kids go through their closets and toy boxes to find things to store or to donate. Chances are their rooms are still filled with the toys and gifts they received for the holidays, and now is a great time to move some old things out of the way to make room for those new belongings.
Reclaim Your Garage
Your garage might be filled with tubs and boxes, and if the holiday decorations are still stored out there, consider moving them into a self-storage unit. The weather will soon be nice enough to leave the garage door open as you work on your car or motorcycle, and even though you’ll be able to leave the vehicle in the driveway on certain days, you’ll still want to park it inside the garage on those stormy days in April and May. Making space for your vehicle can be a great way to jumpstart your spring cleaning this year.
