A Community Touch-A-Truck Event!

At EZ Storage® in Pittsburgh, we love being involved in the community, and when an event comes around that we can be a part of, we jump at the opportunity. On Sunday, August 4th, our Ross Township location was able to participate in the annual “Touch-A-Truck” event that is hosted by the Shaler North Hills Library in Glenshaw. This event featured trucks and other vehicles from organizations all across the region, including the Shaler Township Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office!

The event gave parents and kids the opportunity to touch and sit in some of the vehicles that they see on the road every day. With fire trucks, construction vehicles, police cars, storage trucks, and more, it was quite a sight to behold! All of the proceeds from the event will go towards the library’s Children’s Department to help ensure that kids of all ages have access to books, reading programs, and other learning materials.

Helping the Community Thrive

With events such as these, the community is able to come together and see how certain vehicles work, as well as the people who sit behind the wheel every single day. This can really help the community thrive as they meet truck drivers, police officers, and others who serve certain needs throughout the city. When it comes to self-storage, we want people to know that we’re here to help them find the perfect space for anything that they need to keep safe.

Our Ross Township staff and resident managers were able to talk with many people throughout the event, and we gave away wristbands and candy that both parents and their kids loved. Being able to engage with others in the community can help build stronger bonds between residents and businesses. We look forward to providing the perfect self-storage for anyone who needs it and who thinks of us because of this event!

Giving Back However We Can

Events such as “Touch-A-Truck” are a great way to give back, and with more than $4,000 raised this year, the library will be able to provide important services to children and their families. We believe in giving back to the community every single day by providing honest service and affordable prices for those who need storage, no matter what their circumstances are. We know that people are people, and whether they need a storage space for a month or for a year, we’ll do whatever we can to make the experience as great as possible.
